God’s Not Forgetful

“God is not unjust; he will not forget your work and the love you have shown him as you helped his people and continue to help them.”
~Hebrews 6:10 (NIV).
In context or out of context, this fact remains: we will become disillusioned with God and life at some point—maybe even at many points.
The work of discouragement on our souls is a compelling one—it’s one where the enemy is known to lurk and to flourish, instilling within us the momentary lapse of looking back with the eyes of comparison and partiality, and these, engendering envy and self-pity.
Yes, we’ve all been there. It’s a Y.E.T., a.k.a. “You’re Eligible Too.”
God is forever impartial.
God does not favour one person over the next, even though at times it might seem this way... we remember here, if we’re wise in the moment, we live in a fallen world.
When we work hard, let’s just know that all of this work is working for good; that God is preparing for us the wildest commendation perceivable... and better still God’s placing this into our hearts even as we sweep, do dishes, mow lawns, and serve others however we serve them.
Let us contend with our disillusionment, past the moment, beyond the day—then let us see how God is faithful, restoring us in our faithfulness.
Let’s not give up as perhaps we’ve had the habit of doing. Today is a new day.
Today is the day that the Lord has made; let us rejoice that God is for us and never against us.
